We are shadows in the alley

Se tese o comuniune seara, pe peronul metroului, intre pasagerii nocturni. Langa mine, o femeie tanara, incaltata cu pantofi cu tocuri ametitoare, mesteca lenes la o eugenie. Langa ea, un baiat tanar mananca un pateu, iar mai incolo, un altul rupe cu salbaticie dintr-o bucata de placinta cu ceva. Mirosul imi face greata, dar in acelasi timp, constientizez cat de mult iubesc orasul, cu mirosurile lui (adesea neplacute) si imaginile care se succed cu viteza trenului pe care toata lumea asta trista il asteapta. As vrea sa raman pe peron, metroul sa nu mai vina, pasagerii infrigurati si flamanzi sa ramana la nesfarsit asa, incremeniti de timp si asteptare. Ma gandesc ca suntem sclavi cu totii, de vreme ce nimeni nu se urca in picioare pe banca, si nu-si urla nefericirea. As vrea sa fii si tu aici, dragul meu, si sa dansam un vals rusesc pe piatra cubica mica si patata pe care calcam, fara macar a realiza, in fiecare zi. Nimeni nu are indrazneala de a rupe tacerea apasatoare, intrerupta pe ici si colo, de un crantanit de eugenie. Si pana la urma, poate ca joie de vivre se afla ferecata intr-un pachet ieftin de biscuiti.

Nu am de unde sa stiu fiindca nu-mi plac biscuitii.

One Eskimo

One Eskimo e o trupa londoneza formata din 4 membri. Vocalul este Kristian Leontiou (Greek origins), care imi amintesc ca a avut un single catchy (yes, quite mainstream) acum cativa ani. Nu-mi mai amintesc insa titlul. Eskimo este noul sau proiect pus cap la cap de curand. Primul single, mai precis Hometime, a iesit anul trecut in Decembrie, iar albumul in Martie 2008 la Little Polar Bear Records.

Uneori muzica parca nu suna la fel, iar alteori parca nu mai suna deloc. Am invatat si eu - cata trufie! - ca sunetele revin intotdeauna, poate chiar mai clare pentru ca nimeni, nimeni, nimeni nu le poate lua. Iar daca incearca, tot ce trebuie sa faci - si la urma urmei, tot ceea ce poti face - este sa ti le canti singur inapoi.
